There is a salivating concept which resides at the furthest boundaries of human will. It is that of Freedom.

Freedom is a feeling which can often escape someone who has been entrenched in the daily tumultuous grind of the human condition.

Freedom is a twin sensation to danger and vulnerability. You can often feel trapped by the obligations of life, work, family, and existentialism.

A slave is safe, a slave is fed, a slave is housed. A slave does not have to consider anything beyond what they are told to do. Many people have chosen slavery in exchange for safety and guarantees.

In Conan the Barbarian, John Milius demonstrated this metaphor succinctly. A chiseled, dust stained, scarred Arnold Schwarzenegger playing Conan lived as a slave in the fighting pits. He lived in glorious praise for his bloodthirsty audience. He was educated by masters of poetry and combat. He was given the finest concubines to ravish, fed the finest foods, and kept amongst his masters like a son. But he was not free.

Towards the end of his time as a slave gladiator, he was thrown into the wilderness. He was starving, exposed to the bare elements, hunted by wolves, and in sheer desperation.

THAT IS FREEDOM.

Freedom is uncertainty and lethality creeping around the corner, waiting to destroy everything you hold dear and turn you into a starving dilapidated cripple for the slightest error or miscalculation.

Freedom is the persistent relentless struggle against a constant onwind of inconvenience, difficulty, and savagery.

To be free means to understand what it means to live like an animal with absolute zero guarantee from anyone or anything except death.

When you defy comfort, when you deny safety, and when you plunge yourself into the furthest abyss of the uncertain, you engage in a sacrifice which puts you in the great cosmic roulette wheel of life.

You stake your mettle against the universe itself and if you succeed you are rewarded with the power and prosperity of a king. You become a conqueror of your own destiny and answer to no man.

The United States of America was born 244 years ago today.

There can be many criticisms laid against its current state of existence, yet each year we come together on its birthday and set them aside to appreciate the beauty and glory of what originally came about from a group of hard men who chose freedom.

Even if our future is uncertain, our challenges unceasing, and our foundation constantly attacked, we withstand. We withstand and marvel at the monolithic power that is America.

We are the most powerful nation in the world.

Our culture is the constant Roman Triumph that seeps through the planet and leaves a burning trail in the hearts of its witnesses.

Our land is bountiful, our people are proud, and our freedom is steadfastly defended by the proliferation and use of firearms.

Freedom is a concept which is very relevant to cryptocurrency.

As a system ages it develops a set in series of boundaries which would prevent newcomers from clawing their way into success.

These sorts of chokeholds and barriers instill the natural outcome of new and wild ways of doing things.

Cryptocurrency is a response to the stale economic barriers which have robbed us from any chance to make a name for ourselves.

It is an opportunity of high risk and high reward. Much like the steadfast violent men who carved out this country in the name of financial prosperity, you too find yourself at a fateful crossroad.

Do you wallow in the safety of what you understand?

Do you piece together crumbs and morsels of what little of your money left after the rest has been devoured by expense and debt?

Do you hide in safety and live in the slavery of mediocrity?

Or do you plunge yourself into the wilderness and make a name for yourself?
